Fifteen ships are waiting to discharge petroleum products at the various oil terminals within the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said.
The “Shipping Position’’, a daily publication of the NPA made available to newsmen on Friday, reported that eight of the ships were laden with petrol.
Five of the ships will discharge diesel, one will discharge aviation fuel, while another one will discharge kerosene.
The document indicated that three other ships were waiting to discharge bulk wheat, bulk malt and general cargoes.
It also reported that 74 ships, carrying different cargoes, would arrive in Lagos ports from May 17 to May 30.
The NPA said that five of these ships would arrive with petroleum products.
